The City of Locarno organizes an in-depth meeting to celebrate volunteerism in contemporary society.
The event "From Locarno to Gaza - Peace and Volunteering" aims to highlight the link between the 1925 "Spirit of Locarno" and current initiatives of civic engagement and international solidarity.
The panel discussion, moderated by CSR journalist Nicola Lüönd, will provide a space for discussion on three central themes: volunteering, the legal framework, and migration dynamics. Three prominent guests will speak:
Paolo Bernasconi, lawyer and founder of the Human Rights Foundation;
Vanni Bianconi, writer, translator and cultural worker;
and Michela Trisconi, cantonal delegate for the integration of foreigners.
The meeting will end with a convivial time dedicated to volunteers.
