Meeting with French writer Christine de Mazières author of the novel Locarno (Seuil 2025). A contextualization by Professor Rosario Talarico will help situate the events historically.
The author stages political and artistic characters who appear alongside the protagonist Louise, a young French journalist refugee in Switzerland. The story takes place behind the scenes of the Locarno Treaties, a prelude to European construction. "Nous avons parlé européen" will say French politician Aristide Briand, upon his return to Paris.
