As part of the many events planned to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Locarno Treaties (Peace agreements between different nations made in the City in October 1925) is also part of the initiative of the Pax Center Association of Muralto. To precisely mark the anniversary, the Association is promoting a photo exhibition set up in the lobby of the Pax Palace, located on Via Stazione in Muralto.

The exhibition presents about ten vintage shots-from the archives of photographer Marco Garbani-accompanied by short captions. The images mostly focus on views related to the Locarno-Muralto Station district, a central place in the Locarno agglomeration. In the short captions accompanying the photos, the anecdotal aspect has been emphasized, in the sense that the emphasis has been particularly on small curiosities or marginal aspects in relation to the historical framework of the Pace event.

The exhibition will open on Oct. 1, and can be visited throughout the month on any day and at any time since it takes place in an open space. As an appendix to the exhibition also worth mentioning are the photographs (again from the Garbani archive) displayed in the windows of the Pax Palace and dedicated to the celebrations organized for the 50th anniversary of the Locarno Covenant in 1975.
